MicroEnterprise Works (MEW)

If you can answer yes to the following questions, then you may be a future entrepreneur!

  • Are you highly motivated?
  • Are you good at solving problems?
  • Can you stay focused and on task?
  • Are you adaptable and flexible?
  • Are you a risk taker?
All of these personal characteristics are necessary for someone to be a successful entrepreneur. But this is just the beginning! There are many business questions that must be asked as well. MEW has learned that a business must make:

PERSONAL SENSE - Will it fit in with your family or lifestyle.

BUSINESS SENSE - Can you sell your product for more than it costs to make and sell and still provide you with a profit.

MARKET SENSE - How many competitors are there in your market and is there room for you?

FINANCIAL SENSE - Do you have enough money to make your business successful?

The passion of MEW staff is helping beginning entrepreneurs realistically look at their business idea or business expansion and decide if they can be successful. Many beginning entrepreneurs fail to realize that they will have to work long hours, that their customers, time, suppliers, and money will become their bosses, and their independence will be controlled by customers, money and time. In fact, most business owners find that it takes a year or two before their business can pay them a decent wage. A successful business does not happen overnight.

MEW also believes that entrepreneurship can be a satisfying, profitable, and challenging way of life. If you are up for the challenge, we are here to help!
