Through a collaboration between the Ann Arbor CIL and the University of Michigan’s School of Art and Design, individuals in our disability community and students have been able to come together to share in the beauty and enrichment of clay sculpture. The UM Professor Sadashi Inuzuka and his Art students partner with individuals who have different disabilities to learn about different ways of working with clay. Together the pairs form relationships and sculpt beautiful and intriguing works of art.
Click here to see a video featuring interviews with the clay course participants, photos of the clay works, and snippets from the final celebration. Videography was generously donated by Ted Chen Photography, and still photography for the event was generously donated by Pam Guenzel.
Thanks to all who helped to make this such a great event!
